The mountain as metaphor. But what happens after you reach it? Just climb back down? I prefer mountains that become plateaus. New universes. Once arrived, you don’t have to go back down, unless you want to. Or perhaps a mountain that disappears into the clouds, so you never quite know where it may lead.
