Many, many, many friends who are in their post-school first jobs do not seem to enjoy them. This pattern seems to emerge…
Every Friday night, Eva leaves the office with a bounce on her step. By Saturday afternoon, she is counting the dreaded hours to Monday morning. By Sunday night she is so miserable that she is unable to enjoy the remaining hours of her weekend as she thinks about returning to work on Monday morning. Eva has Sunday Syndrome.
Friends with different jobs, salaries, locations, and obligations all seem to be stuck in the same situation. I can’t yet figure out what creates it and how to avoid it.
Yet, the pressure to find a summer job coupled with the scarcity in which they exist in the current climate, I am worried that I’m walking down the same plank myself.
