Fact: In the last 43 years, Illinois has had seven different governors. Four of them will have ended up in prison. Yes, that’s greater than 50%. Randomly selecting a recent IL governor, it is more likely than not that they will have ended up in prison.

NOTE: To compile the above stat, I made the assumption both that Rod Blagojevich is guilty and will end up in prison. I place the odds on both things happening at about 97%, about the same odds that a Lipton’s teabag falls out of Lt. Gov Quinn’s pocket as he takes the oath.
